CRAWFORDSVILLE GUN CLUB
Mission Statement
The mission of the Crawfordsville Gun Club shall be the encouragement of organized rifle, pistol, and shotgun shooting among citizens of the United States of America residing within our community, with a view toward better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be our further object and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance, which are essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism. Furthermore, we endeavor to promote youth sport shooting in any way possible to continue our second amendment rights into the future.
History and Property Enhancements
The Crawfordsville Gun Club was established in 1963 with the purpose of encouraging organized rifle, pistol, and shotgun shooting among citizens of the United States of America residing within our community. The Club strives to develop the knowledge of safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship in all the Club Members. To that end, the current property was developed to include an ATA style trap field, a 100 yd. rifle range, a 50 yd. rimfire range, a 10 yd. pistol bay, and a clubhouse. The Club continues to explore ways to update the property to include new ranges/pistol bays and to maintain the safety of the existing ranges/pistol bays.
